Psychotherapy Services

Recovery Point West Virginia Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic offers a broad range of psychotherapy services that address mental health, substance use disorders, as well as other behavioral health issues.

Each of our professional staff members has extensive training in both mental health and addiction treatment and are either licensed psychotherapists or supervised by a licensed, experienced clinician. The most common types of problems we treat are anxiety, depression, substance use, and all manner of life distress. We provide services for individual adults, couples, families, and groups, as clinically indicated.

Addiction Services

There are several certified, licensed addiction counselors on staff. We provide outpatient evaluation, treatment, and referral services to our clients. We also offer counseling services for individuals referred from medication-assisted treatment programs. We are happy to collaborate with the prescriber of your choice to assist with recovery from opioid, alcohol addiction and other drugs of abuse. We also routinely partner with physicians and psychiatrists who prescribe medications for mental health issues. We are able to assess for different levels of treatment including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential. We partner with many of our colleagues around the state for services and levels of care we do not provide and routinely provide referrals for our clients.

Peer Recovery Support Specialists

In addition to professional behavioral health services, Recovery Point West Virginia Behavioral Health Inc. offers a full staff of Peer Recovery Support Specialists. Our recent graduates from our residential programs are frequently in a position to move into positions of leadership and act as guides for those who are in the early stages of recovery. Our Peer Recovery Support Specialists have at least 2 years of continuous recovery themselves and have been extensively trained to work as professionals in the field of recovery. Our PRSS staff are either credentialed or are in the process of receiving national credentialing, demonstrating only the highest level of competence and training to best assist our clients.
