RECOVERY POINT HER PLACE

Recovery Point at HER Place in Huntington, WV provides women, children, and families a safe and nurturing environment that offers free access to peer support services and educational programs that empower women to overcome substance use disorders. Peer Recovery Coaches at HER Place interact directly with women, both individually and in small groups, to fill the gaps in the continuum of care by providing pre-treatment outreach services and post-treatment peer support services necessary to sustain long-term recovery. The program also offers a 10-bed recovery home where women can live in supportive, sober housing as they work toward lasting recovery, rebuild relationships and begin working jobs in the community.

HER Place at Recovery Point offers early Intervention information and referral services for women who come to our drop-in center from off the streets seeking help with addiction. Peer Recovery support services for women who must wait for the treatment program of their choice, which can take six months for 28-day treatment or up to two years for long-term programs that accept children. Recovery support offered by the program includes the many areas listed here to provide evidence-based recovery education and personal development tailored to meet the specific needs of women seeking recovery.
